STEROPAR is a small, independent UK label which loves jazz and soul as well as pop and rock music. All eras are embraced but we have a special affinity with recordings of the '50s, '60s and '70s.

Our other love is HD (high definition) audio and so, for all you tech people out there, all recordings from our Old School Studio are made at at least a 96kHz sample rate/24 bit. Mixed through an anologue console and using analogue outboard equipment (including our very own, purpose-built echo chamber), the result is then recorded to a dedicated DSD recording machine. We think you will hear the difference, even if listening back at lower sample rates. In our opinion, DSD has more openness to its sound and, if listening through a good quality DAC (digital-analogue converter), is significantly less fatiguing to the ears and brain. Which means you can listen to your favourite music for even longer!
